Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

• Park Safely in School Zones: Always choose designated parking areas and avoid blocking driveways or crossing paths.

• Follow Speed Signs: Adhere to speed limits, especially in school zones, to ensure the safety of children and other pedestrians.

• Avoid U-Turns and 3-Point Turns: Making these turns outside the school can create confusion and danger for pedestrians and other drivers. Stick to straight driving when navigating school zones.

• Don’t Park in Staff Car Parks: Staff parking areas are reserved for school staff. Parking there can create inconvenience and safety issues.

• Never Call Out to Children from Across the Road: This can distract drivers and is very dangerous. Always wait until you are safely on the same side of the road before communicating with children.

• Park Responsibly: Even if it means walking a bit further to the school gate, choose safe parking spots to ensure the safety of everyone.
