Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

The Franklin Public School Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) plays a vital role in building a strong sense of community and supporting the educational experience of every student at our school. We are a group of dedicated parents, carers, and community members who work in partnership with the school to enhance facilities, organise events, and fundraise for valuable resources and initiatives.

What is a P&C?

The P&C is a not-for-profit group that provides parents and community members with the opportunity to be actively involved in school life. From fundraising and volunteering to providing input on school priorities, our P&C ensures that our families have a voice and a hand in shaping the learning environment at Franklin Public School.

Our Fundraising Initiatives

Our P&C proudly organises a variety of fundraising events throughout the year to support our students and school programs. These events not only raise important funds but also bring our school community together in fun and engaging ways. Key initiatives include:

Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter & Christmas Raffles
These raffles are always a hit with families and help raise funds while celebrating special occasions throughout the year.
Meal Deal Days
Held on select days each term, Meal Deal Days are eagerly anticipated by students and offer a fun break from the usual lunchbox routine. All proceeds go directly back into supporting school programs.
Wood Raffles
A local favourite during the cooler months, our wood raffles are a great way to warm up the community while contributing to our fundraising goals.

School Canteen

The school canteen, operated by the P&C, is open three days a week – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It provides nutritious and affordable meal options for students and is a valuable service that contributes to the wellbeing of our school community. The canteen is staffed by volunteers and managed with the help of the P&C committee.
