We collaborate closely with our partner school, Tumut High School, to offer a comprehensive program that supports Year 6 students as they prepare to transition into Year 7. Moving from primary to high school is a significant step, and this program is designed to help students feel confident, comfortable, and ready for the changes ahead.
A key part of this initiative is the Middle School Program, which plays an important role in helping students adapt to their new environment while fostering both their academic and social development. Through a variety of activities and lessons, students will have the chance to meet their future teachers, connect with peers, and become familiar with the school’s facilities and daily routines.
The program specifically focuses on easing the adjustment to high school life by introducing students to what a typical day will look like. This includes opportunities to explore key areas of the school such as classrooms, the library, and recreational spaces, as well as meet other students in their year group.
We understand that starting high school can be both exciting and sometimes overwhelming. That’s why the program also provides a supportive space for students to ask questions and share any concerns they may have, helping to reduce anxiety and build their confidence.
We encourage you to discuss this transition with your child and offer support throughout this important phase. Together, we can lay a strong foundation for your child’s successful learning journey in high school.
