What we can offer your child
Student success
At Franklin Public School, we are dedicated to providing a high-quality, low-cost education that nurtures every child's growth and development. We take pride in the achievements of our students, which reflect their hard work and determination both in and out of the classroom.

Academic Achievements
Our students consistently perform well in NAPLAN assessments, showcasing their strong academic skills and understanding. We believe that a solid foundation in literacy and numeracy sets the stage for lifelong learning.
Competitions and Awards
Our students shine in various competitions, demonstrating their talents and creativity. We celebrate our NSW Premier's Spelling Bee finalists, who showcase exceptional spelling skills and dedication. Additionally, our students express their cultural heritage through art, participating in projects that highlight their creativity and unique perspectives.
Sporting Success
We also celebrate our students' achievements in sports. From the PSSA Riverina Basketball Championships to the State Athletics Championships, our athletes showcase their skills and sportsmanship on a larger stage. We encourage all students to engage in physical activities, fostering teamwork and healthy competition.
At Franklin Public School, student success is not just about academic achievement; it's about growing as individuals and contributing to our community. We are proud of our students' accomplishments and look forward to supporting them in their journey beyond school!

A world of opportunities
We believe in opening a world of opportunities for every student. We offer a wide range of programs and experiences designed to help our students thrive and explore their interests.
STEM
Our curriculum encompasses various areas, including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), sports, and the creative arts. By providing diverse learning experiences, we encourage our students to develop their curiosity and critical thinking skills.
In our STEM programs, students engage in hands-on activities that spark their imagination and problem-solving abilities, preparing them for a future in a rapidly changing world. Our sports programs promote teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle, allowing students to build confidence and resilience through physical activity.
Excursions and Incursions
Excursions and incursions further enrich our curriculum by bringing learning to life. Field trips to museums, science centres, and cultural events provide students with firsthand experiences that deepen their understanding of various subjects. Meanwhile, incursions, such as guest speakers and interactive workshops, connect students with experts and inspire them to pursue their interests.
Broad Curriculum
By offering a broad curriculum, we ensure that every child can discover their passions and reach their full potential. At Franklin Public School, we are committed to providing the tools and experiences that empower our students to succeed in whatever path they choose. Tailored learning support
We know every child learns in their own way. That’s why we provide tailored learning support to help each student do their best. Our programs meet different student needs. This includes high potential and gifted students, students with additional needs or disability, and those who need wellbeing support. At our school, your child will get the support they need to succeed.

Student Learning Support Officers (SLSO) in the Classroom
Our SLSOs are trained staff members who work closely with teachers to help students in the classroom. They provide additional support to individuals or small groups, making sure that every student can learn effectively and feel included.
Teaching and Learning Adjustments
We understand that every student learns in their own way. To help everyone succeed, we make changes to our teaching methods and materials. This means we might adapt lessons, provide extra resources, or use different ways to teach. Our aim is to create a supportive environment where all students can do their best.
Extension Activities for Students Who Need Extra Challenge
For students who are ready for more advanced work, we offer special activities that challenge them and encourage deeper thinking. These might include interesting projects or advanced learning programs. We want to inspire students to explore their interests and learn more.
Wellbeing and Counselling Support
We know that feeling good emotionally is important for learning. Our wellbeing and counselling services help students deal with personal challenges and promote mental health. Our school counsellor is available to provide a safe space for students to talk about their feelings and learn how to cope with stress. We also have programs that help build positive relationships and a supportive school community.

A welcoming community
Our school is a place where students from all backgrounds feel safe, respected and part of the community. We value diversity and fairness. Your child will learn and grow in a school that celebrates who they are. We prepare students to be confident, well-rounded global citizens.
Supporting Students Learning English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D)
We help students who are learning English as a second language. We have special programs and resources to assist them in improving their English skills. This includes tailored lessons and extra help from teachers and support staff. Our goal is to make sure these students feel confident and included in all school activities.
Celebrating Harmony Day
Every year, we celebrate Harmony Day to recognise and appreciate the different cultures in our school. On this day, students take part in fun activities that promote understanding and respect for each other. Activities may include performances, art projects, and discussions about why diversity is important. Harmony Day helps everyone feel like they belong and that their background is valued.
Incorporating Culturally Inclusive School Events
We organise various events throughout the year that celebrate different cultures. These events give students a chance to share their traditions and backgrounds with their classmates. Activities can include cultural showcases, food days, and celebrations of important holidays. By getting students and families involved, we create an environment where everyone feels proud of their culture and can learn from each other.
Ensuring Cultural Safety for All Students
We are committed to making sure our school is a safe place for all students, no matter their background. This means we respect and celebrate the different identities of our students. We build strong relationships with families and listen to their needs to make sure our programs reflect their cultures. Our staff receive training to understand and support all cultures, helping to create a space where every student feels safe and valued.
